Scaling of submonolayer island growth with reversible adatom exchange in surfactant-mediated epitaxy

Surfactant-mediated epitaxial growth is studied with a realistic model, which includes three main kinetic processes: diffusion of adatoms on the surfactant terrace, exchange of adatoms with their underneath surfactant atoms, and reexchange in which an exchanged adatom resurfaces to the top of the surfactant layer. The scaling behavior of nucleus density and island size distributions in the initial stage of growth is investigated by using kinetic Monte Carlo simulations. The results show that the temperature dependence of nucleus density and island size distributions governed by the reexchanging-controlled nucleation at high temperatures exhibits similar scaling behavior to that obtained by the standard diffusion-mediated nucleation at low temperatures. However, at intermediate temperatures, the exchanging-controlled nucleation leads to an increase of nucleus density with temperature, while the island size distribution scales to a monotonically decreasing function, showing nonstandard scaling behavior.     

The computation and perturbation analysis for weighted group inverse of rectangular matrices

Cen (Math. Numer. Sin. 29(1):39–48, 2007) has defined a weighted group inverse of rectangular matrices. Let A∈C ^m×n ,W∈C ^n×m , if X∈C ^m×n satisfies the system of matrix equations $$(W_{1})\quad AWXWA=A,\quad\quad (W_{2})\quad XWAWX=X,\quad\quad (W_{3})\quad AWX=XWA$$ X is called the weighted group inverse of A with W, and denoted by A _W ^# . In this paper, we will study the algebra perturbation and analytical perturbation of this kind weighted group inverse A _W ^# . Under some conditions, we give a decomposition of B _W ^# ?A _W ^# . As a results, norm estimate of ‖B _W ^# ?A _W ^# ‖ is presented (where B=A+E). An expression of algebra of perturbation is also obtained. In order to compute this weighted group inverse with ease, we give a new representation of this inverse base on Gauss-elimination, then we can calculate this weighted inverse by Gauss-elimination. In the end, we use a numerical example to show our results.     

关于信用期内含缺陷产品EOQ模型

考虑到在实际中供应链上游供应商提供给下游零售商的信用支付期通常为一个订货周期,建立了缺陷率服从一定分布的缺陷产品在信用支付策略下的最优订货批量模型.模型中允许缺货发生并且以最大期望利润为目标函数,通过分析得到模型最优解.最后给出仿真实验,并且分析了模型参数变化对最优解的影响.     

Performance analysis of MAP/G/1 queue with working vacations and vacation interruption

We consider the MAP/G/1 queue with working vacations and vacation interruption. We obtain the queue length distribution with the method of supplementary variable, combined with the matrix-analytic method and censoring technique. We also obtain the system size distribution at pre-arrival epoch and the Laplace–Stieltjes transform (LST) of waiting time.

By using fixed-point theorems, some new results for multiplicity of positive solutions for a class of second order m-point boundary value problem are obtained. The associated Green's function of this problem is also given.
